Workshop: Domestic Violence 101

Domestic Violence (DV) 101 offers an introduction to the underlying root causes of violence against women. We will define and discuss sexism and misogyny & explore the history of the movement to end violence against women.

Looking broadly at the types & general dynamics of violence against women, we will learn about domestic violence, dating violence, stalking, and sexual assault. Then we will hone in on domestic violence specifically & discuss the role of an advocate in supporting survivors of abuse.
